  2. Introduction What is a siege engine? A siege engine is a device that is designed to break or circumvent city walls and other fortifications in siege warfare. Examples: Ballista Trebuchet Catapult

  3. The Task • Your assignment is to research five different types of siege engines. The following are required: • A short description of each siege engine • A photo or sketch of each • Choose one example and design your own model

  4. The Process • Using Internet search engines, find different types of siege engines. • Choose five to research more thoroughly. • Using word processing software, complete the short descriptions of each example. • Based on your research choose one of the five, design and construct your own model. • Test and modify your finished model to throw a ping pong ball a minimum distance of 15 feet
