  2. Try to include a picture of the composer and/or performer

  3. Tempo What is the tempo of the composition? (Fast, Slow, Faster, Slower, Getting faster, Getting slower, Steady Pulse…) Does the tempo change? Is the tempo steady? What does the tempo cause you to feel? Advanced: what is the meter? Does the meter change?

  4. Dynamics Describe the dynamics of the composition. How often do the dynamics change? How do the dynamics make you feel? (Loud, Quiet, Louder, Quieter, Getting louder, Getting quieter)

  5. Texture and Timbre Describe the texture and the timbre of the composition. How often does the texture change? How does the change of texture change the timbre? (Bright, Hollow, Light, Heavy, Dull, Cold, Warm, Major, Minor)

  6. Form What is the form of the composition? Is it AABA, ABACA, or something else? Does it have verses and a chorus? Is there an instrumental break? A solo? Does the composition have phrases? How long or short are the phrases? Is it sonata form; a rondo; a concerto; is it binary; tertiary? Try to be specific.
