  3. Rate: a ratio that compares quantities in different units. Unit rate: a rate that has a denominator of 1 Ex: unit cost, gas mileage, and speed

  4. Now lets try an Example! A survey asks students whether they had after-school jobs. Write a ratio as a fraction in simplest form.
