  2. Names Of The Different Tribes • Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, Cayugas, Senecas, Hurons, Tuscaroras.

  3. Types Of Food They Ate! • The woodland Indians ate beaver, otter, moose and bear! The woodlands planted corn, beans, squash, and tobacco. The woodlands harvested wild rice. They found sap. They added it to their foods!

  4. What They Lived In! • The woodlands lived in longhouses. The longhouses were made by ashes or cedar wood. The longhouses could hold up to 12 families.

  5. Regions They Lived In. Theywentasfar west asthe great lakes. They wentasfar north as Maine.

  6. Interesting Facts! • The woodlands thought war was a way of life. If they fought in a war they were greatly respected. They made a government. Benjamin Franklin went to a woodland tribe and liked their government. He brought the idea back to America!
