    1. Transportation Tuesday TRANSPORTATION TUESDAY The five seeing habits while driving….

    2. Transportation Tuesday Look as far down the road as possible to uncover important traffic and road conditions, so that you make the right decision as you drive along. Look for curves and be prepared for any hazards. Looking beyond does not mean you stop paying attention to things that are closer. Good drivers shift their attention back & forth, near & far. 1 - Look far ahead…

    3. Transportation Tuesday 2 - Look around… Look around and get the big picture. Do not succumb to tunnel vision, as you need to know what is happening around you. Are drivers preparing to change lanes? Are cars merging from right or left? Are there people crossing the street? Are speeding vehicles following close behind you? Look to find out.

    4. Transportation Tuesday 3 - Keep your eyes moving..

    5. Transportation Tuesday 4 - See if you have enough space.. Make sure you have enough space all around your vehicle, just in case you need to make a sudden escape. Sometimes when we leave space, other drivers take it for granted and the tendency is not to leave space at all, but remember, leaving space gives you time to think and to take action. Leave space in front. When you stop make sure you leave adequate space and you are able to see the driver’s rear tires!

    6. Transportation Tuesday 5 - Can others see you? Inform other road users that you are there. Communicate with them by using your lights, signals or horn at the appropriate time.
