  3. Boolean Search Logic • Combining words and phrases using the words AND, OR, NOT, and NEAR (otherwise known as Boolean operators) to limit, widen, or define your Internet search

  4. Browser • A program that accesses and displays files and other data available on the Internet and other networks

  5. Communication • The imparting or exchanging of information or news

  6. CPU • (Central Processing Unit) The key component of a computer system, which contains the circuitry necessary to interpret and execute program instructions

  7. Digital Camera • Camera that records and stores digital images

  8. Digital Video Camera • A video camera is a camera used for electronic motion picture acquisition, initially developed by the television industry buy now common in other applications as well

  9. Download • To copy data from one computer system to another or to a disk

  10. E-Mail • (Electronic Mail) To communicate electronically on the computer

  11. Hardware • The machines, wiring, and other physical components of a computer or other electronic system

  12. HTML • Hypertext Markup Language, a standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, color, graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages

  13. Hyperlink • A link from a hypertext file or document to another location or file, typically activated by clicking on a highlighted word or image on the screen

  14. Internet • An international computer network providing e-mail and information from computers in educational institutions, government agencies, and industry, accessible to the general public via modem links
