  6. Teacher access in schoology Step 1: Visit lms.lausd.net (student login process is the same) Step 2: Sign in using your SSO

Gradebook setup Recommended Basic Setup Secondary: • Categories:- weighted or non-weighted by total points • Assignments: - graded with Secondary Scale - can enter points or letter grade, use point values to make a graded item count more than another - 20 vs. 10 points • Final Grade Settings: Select the appropriate default level

Creating assignments Benefits of accessing assignments in Schoology: • Centralized place for students to access information when they need it • Absent students can always find what they missed • Description: Helps students remember assignment expectations • Attach Supplemental Materials: slide decks, videos, worksheets, web sites • Due Dates: appear in 3 places! Calendars, Upcoming and Home Page

  15. Printing grade reports Step 1: Go to gradebook Step 2: Click the ellipses in top right corner.

  17. Printing grade reports Step 4: A pop up window will appear. You need to select the student(s) for the report.

  18. Printing grade reports Step 5: Choose File >>> Print to print the report(s). Each student’s report will print on a separate page.

  19. Student access in schoology • You may now print student email rosters for your classes in MyData. Step 1: Log into MyData http://achieve.lausd.net/mydata  using your SSO Please use Firefox web browser.

  20. Student access in schoology • Step 2: On the MyData landing page, select the MyData circle

  21. Student access in schoology • The MyData Dashboard will appear. • Step 3: Hover over the My Students, Current YD tab.

  22. Student access in schoology • Step 4: In the dropdown menu, choose “Email Account/Roster”

  23. Student access in schoology • Step 5: On the left side of the Email/Account Roster landing page, you need to select your name under teacher, class periods, course name, and Fall. • Step 6: Click “Apply” • Step 7: Click “Student Email Account Roster by Class Period”

  24. Student access in schoology Step 8: Your students’ emails and Pin numbers should populate. Step 9: Export an Excel file, save the document in Excel so that you can do a mail merge.

  25. Student access in schoology Step 10: Once you export in Excel, delete all of the cells except for name, student ID, email, and Pin number. Step 11: You can create a mail merge and pass out the account information or give the information to your students personally. REMINDER: Remind students that they should keep their account information private!

Student access in schoology Step 12: Once students receive their email login and pin number they should go to mylogin.lausd.net > > > click the “student” link > > > and follow the directions to change their password. They must “ACCEPT” the terms of use. REMINDER: Remind students to keep their account information private!
