  2. LONG TERM GOALS • Adopt 21st century teaching approaches to generate social responsibility in students and to make them good citizens. • To make them realize the importance of our history, culture and traditions as a nation who forgets its past ruin its future.

  3. SHORT TERM GOALS • To focus on research material so that students can have knowledge of their subject on a wider scale. • Introduce debate and questioning skills in my class so that every student can get a chance to share its views and give suggestions. • Encourage students for their every minor effort as this will boost up their confidence and each child will learn to work independently. • Introduce activities to make the class lively and energetic.

  4. INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES AND TASKS • I will provide “Think Time” to students so that they can answer my questions effectively. • I will allow students to have a question answer session after class which will help in solving their queries. • I will allow to have a group discussion in class so that everybody can be benefitted from the other person’s knowledge and ideas.

  5. SOLUTIONS TO ANTICIPATED CHALLENGES CHALLENGES SOLUTIONS I will encourage all such students so that they can speak in class with the method of appreciation and encouragement. I will provide them with extra classes or extra time so that they can learn to use internet. I will explain parents the importance of extra knowledge about every lesson by writing a note in diary or calling them for a meeting. • Some students are shy so they might not participate in group discussions. • Some students might not know how to search material from internet. • Parents might not be happy with lots of research material hence giving less attention to the course book.

  6. TIME LINE • April- May • August- September • October- November • January- February • March • I will focus on group discussions. • I will focus on the research material from internet on every lesson. • I will focus on questioning skills hence appreciating every individual’s effort and their confidence. • I will focus on the time management of students so that they can learn to finish their tests or exams in a given time. • I might succeed in achieving the above goals and be a 21st century teacher.

  7. RESOURCES • Internet • Different books related to my subject. • Senior teachers who teach my subject and my same grade.

  8. CONCLUSION By introducing the 21st century approaches students will learn their social responsibility, critical thinking, communication skills and will try to bring some change in society and act as civilized citizens of our beloved country Pakistan.
