    4. DISCIPLINE Sound guidelines. All students know consequences for actions. “Bully-proof” environment. Self-discipline the key to success. Students given responsibility for their learning. Supportive atmosphere that encourages “risk-taking”.

    5. PARENTS Harston is a Community School. Parents play a great part in the school function. Parents are always welcome. Community “get togethers” are a feature. Parents Club meet regularly as does School Council.

    6. EXTENSION ACTIVITIES Intensive swimming Program. Athletics Sports. School camps Regular Excursions and interaction with “Cluster Schools”. Many visitors to the school – Waterwatch, MS Readathon, Jump Rope, CFA, and so on. Mobile Library. Visiting Art Specialist

    7. CLASS SIZES Excellent Pupil:Staff ratios

    8. TECHNOLOGY Excellent computer ratio with regular access. Creative use of Technology as a tool for learning.
