  3. What makes an air mass? • Large in size • The same temperature and humidity through out • Move as a single unit

  4. A change in weather is due to the movement of air masses. Moving air masses can change the air pressure HIGHS LOWS Stormy weather • Air has a hard time rising so clouds cannot form easily • Fair weather systems What tool can we use to measure air pressure? - Barometer

  5. Fronts: The boundary between two air masses of different density, moisture or temperature Cold Warm warm air takes the place of cold air • cold air takes the place of warm air
