  1. Social Impacts Social networking sites are an example of the social impacts of the internet. Facebook and Twitter are an easy and simple way of keeping in touch with people all around the world. They work by using the internet. You can also use these two websites to share information and pictures to your friends or followers. Also you can use Skype to keep in touch with people using the internet. It is a type of video chat where you can see the people you are talking to you. Iphones, Ipods and Ipads also have a video chat called facetime. This is where you can connect with other people who also have an Iphone etc.

  2. Economic Impacts You can also check your back accounts online and draw money. You can also get apps on the Iphone that do this. This means you can draw money out using the internet while you are out instead of having to wait to when you go home. There are also websites on the internet where you can buy clothes from. So instead of going to the shop you can order it online and it will be sent to your house. However because the IT has changed a lot there are also a lot more jobs available in different sectors. For example, an ICT technician, network manager and data manager. Also you can book holidays online so when you pay it goes straight to the company so the payments are secure.

  3. Threats There is a lot of threats of you can get when you buy goods online. For example, fraud on a credit card or MasterCard. They are trying to protect this from happening by setting up payment security systems. In addition to this, you can also get viruses from downloading unsafe programmes. These can be made from hackers and can have access to your personal details and anything else on your computer or laptop. This causes identity theft. Another threat on the internet is cyber bullying. This happens on websites like Facebook or Twitter. It is a serious problem and some people have even committed suicide due to the threats they have been getting by other people.
