It’s the natural response of our body to clear foreign material or mucus from the respiratory tract and it can also be caused by food. Cough can be both acute or chronic which can last for more than eight weeks. The cause for cold and cough can be a bacterial or viral infection along with other reasons like smoking, asthma, or allergic reaction. Cough can be of Two Types This depends on the underlying cause but the most common type of cough is Dry cough with no presence of mucus and Wet cough where mucus is present in the throat where you have to hawk out the mucus.
