Program Start Dates Youth Date – 10/28/19 Practice Mondays & Thursdays 6pm to 7:30 Matches on Tuesday (2 hour time limit) Middle School Date – 10/21/19** Practice Monday - Thursday after school 3pm to 6:00 High School Date - 10/21/19** Practice everyday after school 3pm to 6pm ** = Practice will be from 6pm to 8pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) till football is over

Season Overview Academics Must keep up with grades during the season Stay out of ISS Hygiene Must shower everyday after practice Clean practice clothes, really should wear a long sleeve shirt Going to be the anvil before you are the hammer Missing Practice Three strikes and you're out policy. Call/text/email if you are going to miss practice We don’t cut, they cut themselves by not practicing We will have matches/practice during Thanksgiving & Christmas Break (High School only)

Youth Program • Starts: 10/21/19 • Ends: 01/28/20 • Home Matches: 11/19/19 & 01/28/20 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm • No practice during Thanksgiving Break 11/25 – 11/29 or from 12/23/19 to 1/05/2020 during Christmas Break • Waiting on other teams to make some home dates. • Our home tournaments will only be two hours plus clean up time. • Registration Fees: The cost is $20.00 for first child and $10.00 for each additional child. Middle School Program • Starts 10/22/2018 • Ends: 01/29/2019 • Home Matches: 12/11/18 & 01/29/19 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm • No practice during Thanksgiving Break 11/19 – 11/23 or from 12/13/18 to 1/06/2018 during Christmas Break • Waiting on other teams to make some home dates. • Our home tournaments will only be two hours plus clean up time. • Registration Fees: The cost is $25.00 for first child and $10.00 for each additional child.   7. Uniform Sets for Youth & Middle$35 Will be a dry fit shirt and mesh athletic shorts. Old Uniforms are fine to use as well. Must Buy through Johannsen Website *Will be used as the uniform for Youth & Middle School Matches in the area. Singlets or Doublets will be used for state competitions.

  8. High School Program • Starts: 10/21/19 • Ends: 02/15/2020 (It’s a long season) • Practice from 6pm to 8pm (Mon, Tues, & Thurs) till football gets over with then it’s 3pm to 6pm everyday. • We will practice over Thanksgiving and Christmas Break usually in the mornings. • We are hosting tournaments on 11/09/19, 11/19/19 (Y & MS), 12/28/2019 & Area Duals 1/11/20, & 01/28/20. Big fundraisers for the teams. • Home match: NONE

Team Managers They will help with running score tables, taking pictures or videos, or concession stand $24.00 for shirt Must Buy through Johannsen Website I will need four at away matches and all of them for home matches Parents please sign up for remind to get all notifications during the season

  10. Volunteers Tournaments Parents, I need your help running tournaments. We need your help with concession stand (grilling, frying, selling), score tables (clock management & score), and hospitality room (keeping ALL wrestlers out). We assign 3 hour blocks for working. As we get closer to tournament days, I will send out a goggle form for parents to sign up.

  11. Volunteer Coach / Lay Coach If interested you will need to fill out background check and then have a meeting with the BOE before you can work with the wrestlers. During high school matches you can not be on the mat. If interested in being a Lay Coach ($350.00) must pass background check and a coaching course and first aid course done by Georgia High School. You can coach on the mat during high school matches and it’s good for any school in Georgia.

  12. Paperwork Youth – Must have waiver & fees paid Middle School – Must have waiver, all forms in athletic packet, bus form, & fees paid High School – passing 5 out of 7 classes from last semester, all forms in Athletic packet in. Athletic packet can be found on-line under Athletics or cut and paste below. **I will send all paperwork by email tomorrow** Please make sure you sign in with the right group before you leave

  14. Equipment Last year, a lot of equipment was not returned. All equipment will be issued at the beginning of the year and will be the responsibility of the wrestler to keep up with it. Wrestler must buy their own shoes. Prices charged if not returned: Headgear - $24.00 Singlet - $65.00 Doublet - $85.00 Hair Cover - $20.00 **Parents please help me get equipment turned in at the end of the year**

Team Fundraisers Cotton Candy Sales Ice Cream Sales Vending Machine Sales 09/28/19 - Top Dawg Bass Fishing Tournament 2pm to 4pm 10/12/19 – Car Wash* November – On-Line Donation March – Lip Sync Battle Team Tournaments * = If a high school wrestler fail to show or not do a shift. They will miss two matches or tournaments.

  16. Missing Matches or Leaving EarlyDuring Home Tournaments Tournaments are long days, but they are even longer. If wrestlers leave early and don’t help clean up. If we ALL pitch in most clean ups will take 30 minutes or less. Two mile run and missed tournaments if leave early.

  17. Current Needs Volunteers for needed for home matches Need a team mom for each level. Food: water, granola bars, snacks, sports drinks, etc. First Aid Supplies: nail clippers, athletic tape, band aids, razors, shaving cream, gauze pads, cold packs, basic first aid supplies, etc.

  18. Business Sponsor Banners We sell business sponsor banners. The first year is $200.00 and each year after that is $100.00. Please let me know if know of a business that would buy a banner. $100 – Website Business Sponsor $500 – Tournament Sponsor

  19. Hydration Test $10.00 per test The hydration test is only for high school wrestlers, but is offered to 8th graders if they want to wrestle JV. Before you can wrestle in a match you must pass hydration test. The green glass building across from Doctors Hospital is where the test is given. Our testing dates are TBD. The test is $10.00 every time you have to take it. The best thing to do is pass it the first time. Tips to pass test: Drink ONLY WATER for 3 days before the test. Need 45oz a day. No Sodas, PowerAde, Milk, or Tea for 3 days. No physical activity for 12 hours before the test. Must wear shorts and t-shirt for test.
