CUSD is one of the speediest-increasing school districts within the state of California. To achieve of CUSD targets, the CUSD(http://www.cusdfoundation.org) foundation is asking mothers and fathers to donate for pupil, or any quantity they can pay for, to retain all the CUSD teachers.
Each year the CARE Foundation has scholarships available for graduating seniors at CUSD high schools from the various endowments that the Foundation manages.
CUSD currently boasts 33 schools recognized as "California Distinguished Schools" and 11 schools recognized as "National Blue Ribbon Schools."
Formed in 1992, the CARE Foundation enhances the effectiveness of the Capistrano Unified School District by supporting a wide array of programs and services for CUSD’s 51,000+ students.
The CUSD encompasses 58 schools with over 51,000 students. It covers over 154 square miles in seven cities. The needs of a district this size, combined with the current budget crisis, are enormous.
