Empowering learners intervention

Empowering Learners Intervention

This intervention targets students in Grades 1 and 2 who are reading slightly below their grade level. A small group of students is taken out of the class for a portion of the day for a twenty-day intervention to boost their literacy skills. Students have shown great gains as a result of participating in this intervention. If your child is participating in this intervention, there will be homework given by Mrs. McKenna-Dacres each week day in lieu of regular Literacy homework.

First and second grade classes

Math

Students will work on monthly outcomes, as well as, regularly review concepts learned in previous months.

The students will also work with mental math and number and word problems.

You and your world
