  3. Rembrandt • One of the greatest artists using canvas. • His paintings showed human nature. • He influenced the style of many other famous artists.

  4. Van Gough • Dark works of art. • Wanted to show the harder side of life. • Famous for the “Potato Diggers” painting.

  5. Kandinsky • Art was very abstract. • Used many shapes and colors. • Titled a modern artist.

  6. O’Keefe • Represented flowers, rocks and shells in her paintings. • She used crisp colors. • She would transform the real into abstract.

  7. Fun Facts • Van Gough was the son of a pastor. • Rembrandt went bankrupt in 1656. • Kandinsky’s first name is Wassily • Georgia O’Keefe has been said to be “ a woman on paper.”
