3. Oil Consumption by Country What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? America has the highest amount of oil consumption. It think that this is because we are highly developed and use oil for pretty much everything. What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? the countries that have the lowest amount of oil consumption is Madagascar, Costa Rica, and Ethiopia. I think that these country have this of an amount because all of these countries are small and under developed. Look at the 5th and 6th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. The 5th and 6th ranked countries are Algeria and Egypt. Algeria is under developed and Egypt is under developed. I think that theses countries are like this because, once again, they are very small and cant afford to consume a lot of oil. Look at the 7th and 8th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. The 7th and 8th ranked countries are Cuba and Costa Rica. These countries are under developed. Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. To me, Japan stands out. It surprises me that Japan doesn’thave a higher number because of its population, but once I think about it Japanis developing.

Both countries are under developed, I think that they are in such low rankings because of the highly low population and so there are few people who actually have internet. One other country that stands out is The United Kingdom. This surprises me because it’s highly developed and there are a good amount of people living there.

This is because it’s very low, I know that Ethiopia is underdeveloped and probably poor. I thought this was odd because I didn't know that it was so poorly developed.
