  1. World Oil Consumption Comparison 1.What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? -The U.S. has the largest column. I think it has the largest column because it is a well developed. 2.What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? -Chad has the lowest oil consumed. I think this country is probably still developing and is poor. 3.Look at the 5th and 6th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. -Australia is developed and so is Ireland. I think they’re in the position that they are in because they are mainly developed countries so they are wealthy. 4.Look at the 7th and 8th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. -Afghanistan and Haiti are developing countries. In order to get in the top half of the rankings, they have to help their economy get better so more people want to move there. 5.Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. -France is developed and very nice. There are great things there like the Eiffel Tower. It has an amazing view if you go on a high level to see all of Paris. The food is good too. Around Christmas time, you can get a Bouche de Noel which is this very good chocolate cake. If you’re a chocolate lover, you’ll love it!

The U.S. is very well developed so they have enough money to have a high amount in certain things. 2. What country has the smallest/lowest? I think they are really poor in Afghanistan they don’t have much jobs and aren’t that developed. 3.Look at the 5th and 6th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. -France is a developed country but Afghanistan is still developing. I think France is where it is because it is a very wealthy country. Afghanistan is where it is because it’s kind of a poor country. 4.Look at the 7th and 8th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. -Haiti and Iran are developing countries. They’re not doing so well because they’re poverty rate is really high. They need to have more jobs available for people to get them in the top half of the rankings. 5.Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. -Australia is doing well. You can see amazing wildlife. Kangaroos are very popular and they’re very cute animals. If your interested in reptiles, you can see crocodiles, alligators, and many more.

I think they have the largest amount because they have a variety of jobs that people can pay for anything that’s connected to the internet. 2. What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? -Chad has the lowest internet users. I think the country doesn’t have much money to afford electronics such as a computer to access the internet. 3.Look at the 5th and 6th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question -Australia is a developed country. Iran is still developing. I think they’re in these rankings because they aren’t that wealthy. 4.Look at the 7th and 8th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question -Ireland is a developed country. Since both Haiti and Afghanistan have the same ranking (1,000,000) they both are developing countries. They should make more jobs available for people who don’t have one. 5.Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. -The United Kingdom or U.K. for short has some sightseeing places. Like the Big Ben. You can go take pictures and make it your screensaver. If you are addicted t o any electronics that can access the internet, this is the place for you!
