  2. I. THE SCIENCE OF BIOLOGY A. Key Aspect – Learning about diff- erent types of living things 1. Biologists have NOT answered all the questions about life 2. In biology, questions are asked and rules are developed about the natural world B. General Concept – Living things do NOT exist in isolation

  3. 1. They're part of a delicate balance 2. They depend on other living and nonliving things II. WHY STUDY BIOLOGY? A. Some study it just to learn about the world of living things B. Humans depend on other living things to exist

  4. 1. Other living things supply our: a. Food b. Oxygen c. Raw materials 2. We have to understand other things for the future health of our planet
