  2. Course Objectives Anatomy and Physiology:Anatomy is the study of the structure and relationship between body parts. Physiology is the study of the function of body parts and the body as a whole. The study of anatomy and physiology teaches that the human body is organized into 11 different systems. These systems are the integumentary system, the skeletal system, the muscular system, the nervous system, the endocrine system, the cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system and the male and female reproductive systems

  3. Anatomy & Physiology • Textbook: Students have access to the online book by downloading the zip file on my homepage or a flashdrive.

Course Objectives The purpose of this course is to provide opportunities to study concepts of Life Science and an in-depth preparation for the E.O.C (end of course) exam, a required test students must pass in order to receive credit for Biology and graduate high school. Exam dates will be provided to your child in future announcements. • The study of Biology includes, but is not limited to the following units: • Introduction to Biology • Exploring Cells • Exploring Inheritance • Exploring the History of Life • Exploring the Microbial world • Exploring Plants • Exploring Animal Diversity • Exploring Human Structure and Function

  6. Pinnacle (Gradebook) • Parents can access their child's grades by following these steps: • 1. Go to https://gradebook.browardschools.com/PIV • 2. The user name is the student's ID (This is not the student’s social security number)  Please check your child's schedule to find out the correct Student ID number. • 3. The Pin Code is the child's date of birth – this will be typed as year, month, and day (four digits for year, two digits for month, and two digits for day) – no spaces, slashes, dashes, or commas) – for example, if the student’s birthday is February 5, 1992, it would be typed in as 19920205. • 4. Choose the correct school  from the School drop down menu: Somerset Academy Middle, Somerset Academy High, or Somerset Academy Arts Conservatory.
