History of Bles-Wold • Immigrated from the Netherlands in 1994 • Began yogurt production in small batches for family • Product market-tested at local farmers’ markets • Local grocery stores offered to sell Bles-Wold yogurt • Production moved to dedicated facility • Specialty stores and grocery chains around Alberta took on our product

  3. The Dairy Farm • Began milking cows in 1995 • Currently milk 285 Fleckvieh/Holstein cross animals • Introduced ‘voluntary milking system’ • Emphasis on cow comfort • Milk flows underground from dairy barn to yogurt production facility
