  1. English 10 - 10/14/13 • When you are arguing, how important is it to explain your evidence to the audience? Explain. • Why do fire departments have Dalmations? • Gramatolatry – The worship of words. Goals – Notes on warrants. Make sure that all of your claims and grounds are connected in your first two articles. List of second education topics. Homework – Print another article on a second issue in education that interests you. Don’t forget to study Vocabulary # 7 for quiz Friday.

  2. English 10 - 10/15/13 • Do you feel funding education should be a priority? Even over things like roads, police, fire departments? • How did the mouse feel after the cat chased it through the screen door? • Epizeuxis – the repetition of a word, for emphasis. Goals – Check Dailies. Continue to find claims and grounds to annotate them. Also check the warrants to evaluate them. Third article? All at once? Homework – Find another article about your second education topic that opposes the articles you have already. Print for analysis in class.

How? • Why do bicycles fall over? • Embolalia – hesitation forms of speech, e.g. ”um,” “you know,” “like,” “okay.” Goals – Discuss issues in education then evaluate another article Homework – Print another article about an issue in education.

What is different than you knew before you started your research? • What is Irish and sits outside? • Dithyram – a wild, emotional outpouring, in poetry, speech, hymn, song, or writing. Goals – Discuss education. More article analysis. Homework – Print another article on a subject of interest in education.

  5. English 10 - 10/18/13 • Five minutes to study for Quiz 7. • What is Mary short for? • Diasyrm – Putting down with faint praise. Goals – Complete quiz 7 and correct it. Discussion about education? Homework – Find another article that goes deeper into a topic of interest in education.
