  2. Function • The job of the skeletal system is to support the body and give fragile organs protection during collisions and falls.

  3. Tissues • One tissue is a tendon that connects the muscle to the bone. • Another type is the ligament which connects the bone to its corresponding bone. • The last tissue is cartilage, it acts like a shock absorber between joints and bones.

  4. Bringing it all together • The system most related to the skeletal is the muscular system.They relate to each other in movement because without the other system we wouldn’t be able to move.

  5. Diseases • One condition is a fracture. The symptoms are swollenness, and pain. Medics usually treat the bone with a brace or cast of some sort. • Another condition is osteoporoses, it weakens bone structure causing to break during collisions.

  6. Freaky Facts • Did you know that your hand has 13 more bones than your face. • Or that your thigh bone is ¼ your height. • Did you also know you have 24 more joints than bones.
