  3. Details of course • 5 day Fellowship course for 20 participants • Jan-August 2007 • Portfolio – case study – summer learning • Themes: relationships - effective teaching and learning – school context - learner difference – quality OOHL - review & reflection • Certificate • Training style

  6. Issues • Timing of training • Organsising/funding UFA activity • Child protection training

  7. The future….. • Secured funding from the strategy group to plan and deliver 3 cross-city SLDs ~ ASLs to deliver workshops • Funding for two further cohorts in 2007-8 • Possibility of working with LA to provide training for more ASLs in different contexts

What did they say about impact? • It has had significant impact on the methods I use with young people • It has had significant impact on my thinking • It has helped my not to be afraid to experiment with new things • It has made me much more reflective about my work • It has given me a chance to understand how I do things • It has really helped with my confidence to go into schools • It has spurred me on to get more organised to do something which perhaps has not been attempted in our work before
