  3. How do I contact my counselor? • Your student can sign up for an appointment in the Counseling Office or drop by at lunch (except Thursdays) or after school • Call to schedule an appointment or a phone conference: 310-533-4299 x 7684

  7. ATHLETICS • Offered 6th period only • Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA • No more than one U in citizenship • Attend Athletic Parent Meeting on May 6th at 6:00 pm in the Main Gym

  8. Freshman Focus • Juniors and Seniors visit freshman classes during the Fall (once per month) to inform students about activities, clubs, ASB, athletics and other ways of getting involved on campus.

  9. CLUBS • There are approximately 50 clubs on our campus. Students are encouraged to find a few clubs of interest and maintain involvement throughout high school. See the Planning Guide for a list and description of clubs

  10. High School Graduation Requirements • 220 total credits in the required subjects. An average of 60 credits per year. • Six semesters of excellent or satisfactory citizenship marks • Students also need to pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE).

Graduation Requirements • English 40 credits • Social Science 30 credits including: World History 10; US History 10; Govt. 5/Econ. 5 • Mathematics 20 credits: Algebra minimum • Science 20 credits (physical and biological) • Health 5 credits • Foreign Language/ V P Arts 10 credits • Physical Education 20 credits

  12. Aim For A Balanced Program • Allow for a period of adjustment • Manageable schedule • Athletics and activities require extra hours • Honors courses demand extra study hours

  15. Enrollment Procedures for New TUSD Students • TWO CURRENT utility bills (ONE must be an electric bill) • Birth Certificate/Passport • Parent Picture ID • Transcripts/Report Cards/Withdrawal Grades • Immunization Records
