  3. The lion was sleeping when the mouse tripped over his foot. • The lion said, “What is this? A tasty little snack? • The mouse said, “Kind Lion, don’t eat me. I will help you one day.”

  4. “Okay,” said the lion. • The lion set the mouse free. • The mouse ran into the forest.

  5. One day, the lion was hunting in the forest. • Suddenly, he was caught in a net. • The mouse said, “Don’t worry lion, I will help you.

  6. The mouse chewed through the net. • The lion was free.

  7. Finally, the lion said, • “Thank you, Mouse. You saved my life. It’s true little friends can be a big help. • And the mouse replied, “Yes, it’s true. Little friends can be a big help to you!”
