  3. Mass Media • Communication of news, events, etc. that is widely spread across the country. • Affects the way we see things and think about things.

  4. Mass Media • Mass media has changed over the years. • It has especially changed with the age of the internet. • Mass Media can be biased. • Words things in a certain way to form a certain opinion.

  5. Public Opinion Polls • Try to figure out how the people feel about things by asking them questions in a poll. • Scientific Poll • More accurate • Straw Poll • Less accurate

  6. Polling Questions • Page 223 • Polls affect the outcome of their answers by asking them in a certain way to elicit a certain response.
