  2. Fire safety rules • Safety procedure 1: Always tie long hair back if working with burners, matches, fire. • Safety procedure 2: Never leave a burner on while not attended. You should never leave your burner unless your teacher has given you directions to do so.

  3. Chemical Safety Rules • Safety procedure 1: Always wear eye protection when dealing with chemicals. • Safety procedure 2: Always point the test tube away from you and your partner. • Never use broken or cracked test tubes, or the chemical could pour out.

  4. Equipment safety rules • Safety procedure 1: Always wear closed toe shoes, or loss of toes could result. • Safety procedure 2: Use all equipment as told too. For example don’t use yard sticks to have a sword fight with you partner, if your using them to measure something.

  5. Procedures safety rules Safety procedure 1: Always follow your teachers directions whether their verbal or not. Safety procedure 2: Never eye-ball an amount of liquid. Example: You eye-ball an amount of acid, the instructions call or three ounces but you put in four ounces. BOOOOM!!! Then Mrs.G gets fired.

  6. Behavior safety rules Safety procedure 1: Never horseplay in a lab or your work habits grade will take a turn for the worst. Safety procedure 2: Always stay within your group or many things can go wrong.
