  4. Action Plan • Goal: To become a member of the Student Government Association at UCF. • Action to take and timeline: 1. Learn about ways to get involved with Student Government specifically working with the executive Board-August 2007 2. Fill out the application and join the Student Body Presidents Advisory council for Freshman-September 2007 3. Work with current cabinet members to develop skills and become knowledgeable about Student Government policy, procedures, duties, and goals-Spring 2008 4. Apply for a Cabinet position for Fall 2008-Spring 2007 5. Be a member of the Cabinet- Fall 2008

  5. Action Plan Cont’d. • Goal: To participate in an internship in a public or non-profit law firm. • Action to take and timeline: 1. Begin researching requirements and availability for the internship on myflorida.com or through CO-OP at UCF-Fall 2008 2. Meet with the Political Science Internship Coordinator-Fall 2008 3. Apply for internship for Fall 2009-Spring 2008 4. Be accepted and working in an internship- Fall 2009

Possible Internship • The Washington Center • (found at www.twc.com). • Non-Profit organization that places interns in the nation’s capitol. • UCF students have interned with the White House, the US House and Senate, State Department, Environmental Protection Agency, Washington law firms, interest groups and many others. • Receive 12 credit hours.
