  1. How to Draw a Basic Ziggurat Two-Point Perspective

  2. Horizon Line (your eye level)

  3. Draw the edge of the ziggurat closest to you.

  4. Connect the top and bottom of that edge to a left point on the horizon line. x

  5. Connect the top and bottom of that edge to a right point on the horizon line. x x

  6. Draw the back edges of the ziggurat in between the vanishing lines. x x

  7. Connect the top of those back lines to the oopposite vanishing point. x x

  8. Erase the vanishing lines that go beyond the structure. x x

  9. The second level begins the same way as the first. Pay attention to where you place your first edge. x x

  10. Connect the top and bottom of that line to the same vanishing points. x x

  11. Draw the back edges. x x

  12. Connect the tops of the back edge lines to opposite vanishing points. x x

  13. Erase leftover lines. x x

  14. Use the same process for the third level. x x

  15. Use the same process for the third level. x x

  16. Use the same process for the third level. x x

  17. Use the same process for the third level. x x

  18. Use the same process for the third level. x x

  23. Use the same process for the temple; the fourth level. x x

  24. Use Now for the ramp where the stairs would go. First, find the center of the right side. x x

  25. From the left vanishing point draw two lines on either side of the center mark. x x

  26. Draw the bottom, right edge of the ramp. Connect to the right vanishing point. x x

  27. Draw the rise of the ramp. Connect the corner of the bottom edge to the top edge of the wall. Repeat the same angled line for the back edge of the ramp. x x

  28. Erase unnecessary lines. x x

  29. Repeat the same process for the third level. x x

  30. Repeat the same process for the third level. x x

  31. Repeat the same process for the third level. I am going to erase no so things do not get confusing. x x

  32. Repeat the same process for the third level. Draw the rise. x x

  33. Repeat the same process for the third level. Draw the rise. x x

  34. Now for some windows. Tops and bottoms of doors and windows on the left of the ziggurat go to the left vanishing point. x x

  35. Now for some windows. Tops and bottoms of doors and windows on the left of the ziggurat go to the left vanishing point. x x

  36. Right and left sides of doors and windows are vertical, or in the case of this ziggurat, slightly angled. The windows also get thinner toward the vanishing point. x x

  37. Erase unnecessary lines. x x
