APPLICATION NOTE PRESS RELEASE HI-RES GRAPHIC HOME PAGE DLARHACertified RAD-Hard Ultra-Low Drop OutDC-DC Voltage Regulators IR has introduced a series of high current, ultra-low dropout (ULDO) RAD-Hard hybrid linear voltage regulators available in Standard Microcircuit Drawings (SMD) with DLA Land and Maritime certified RHA programfor space applications including satellites and launch vehicles. IRUH3301A1xK IRUH3301A2xK IRUH330118xK IRUH330125xK IRUH330133xK • Features •  Silicon On Insulator (SOI) CMOS Regulator IC, CMOS Latch-up Immune, Inherently RAD-Hard •  Total Dose Capability up to 300Krad (Si) (Condition A); Tested to 500Krad (Si) •  ELDRS up to 100Krad (Si) (Condition D) •  SEU Immune up to LET = 84MeV/(mg/cm2) •  Space Level Screened •  Fast Transient Response •  Timed Latch-Off Over-Current Protection •  Internal Thermal Protection •  Adjustable Output as Low as 0.8V •  On/Off Control via Shut Down Pin, Power Sequencing Easily Implemented •  Available in two package styles, 5-pin MO-0078AA and 8-pin flat pack with lead bend options • Advantages • The space level screened devices, designed for point-of-load and post DC-DC power conversion, offer a low dropout voltage of only 0.4V at full 3A load. They are available in two industry standard package styles, a 5-pin MO-078AA and an 8-pin flat pack, each with multiple lead bend options. • The new regulators feature a Silicon On Insulator (SOI) CMOS Regulator IC, latch-up and SEU immunity as well as outstanding TID and ELDRS testing in excess of 100Krad (Si) with negligible effect on regulation tolerance. • In addition to offering DLA-certification, these voltage regulators using a standard microcircuit drawing (SMD) part number are included in IR’s RHA program to offer customers a highly reliable, government approved solution.
