Gospel Meetings • Evangelize – to seek and save the lost • Matthew 28:19-20 – “Go therefore and make disciples” • I Timothy 3:15 – “the church of the living God, the pillar & ground of the truth” • Edify – build up & encourage one another • Hebrews 10:23-25 – “in order to stir up love and good works” • Ephesians 4:15-16 – “speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head – Christ”

  4. Why Should I Attend Them? • To Support the Greatest Message

  5. To Support the Greatest Message • Gospel Meetings Proclaim the Word of God • Which is living and powerful • Hebrews 4:12 – “the word of God is living and powerful” • Which is able to produce faith • Romans 10:13-17 – “faith comes by hearing” • Isn’t God’s Word worthy of our support?

To Support the Greatest Message • Gospel Meetings Proclaim the Gospel of Christ • The Power of God to salvation • Romans 1:15-17 – “it is the power of God to salvation” • The Message Jesus want everyone to hear • Mark 16:15-16 – “Go into all the world” • Isn’t the Gospel of Christ worthy of our support?

  8. To Receive the Greatest Message • For those that are lost… • The Gospel of Christ tells of God’s Love for them • John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son” • II Peter 3:9 – “not willing any should perish but that all should come to repentance”

To Receive the Greatest Message • For those that are lost… • The Gospel of Christ tells of God’s Love for them • The Plan of Salvation which tells us how to respond to God’s love & be right with Him • James 1:21 – “receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls” • Acts 2:37-39 – “What shall we do?” • Acts 8:35-39 – “and he went on his way rejoicing”

  10. To Receive the Greatest Message • For those that are saved… • God’s Word that we may be equipped • II Timothy 3:16-17 – “that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” • II Peter 1:3 – “given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness”

  11. To Receive the Greatest Message • For those that are saved… • God’s Word that we may be equipped • Valuable teachings that we may grow • II Peter 3:18 – “but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord” • II Peter 1:5-8 – “giving all diligence, add to your faith”

  13. To Send the Greatest Message • Your Priorities in Life • Matthew 6:33 – “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness”

  14. To Send the Greatest Message • Your Priorities in Life • Your Attitude toward the Gospel • Romans 1:16 – “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ”

Conclusion • Gospel Meetings are a joyful occasion as the Word of God is being proclaimed • God’s love and salvation in Christ is being proclaimed in our community. • Much teaching is done and we can grow in our knowledge and faith. • We have a Gospel Meeting coming up next week. • Let’s make all preparations to be to every service possible.
