  5. Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) • HTTP adalahsuatumetode yang digunakanuntuk transfer suatuinformasimelalui world wide web. Didesignuntukmemberikancarauntukmempublikasikandanmengambilhalaman HTML. • PengembanganHTTP dikoordiniroleh World Wide Web Concortiumberkolaborasidengan Internet Engineering Task Force, menghasilkan RFC 2616 yang berisikantentangHTTP/1.1

Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) • HTTP merupakanprotokol yang digunakanuntuk request/responantara client dan server. • Bentukdari client adalah web browser, spider ataubentuklainnya yang direferensisebagai user agent. • Dan tujuan server, dimanamenyimpanataumembuatsumberdayaseperti file HTML dan file gambar, disebut origin server.

  7. Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) • Diantaraserver dan client bisaterdapatpenghubung (intermediate) antara lain proxy, gateway atau tunnel. • HTTP client memulairequestnyadenganmenggunakan TCP sebagai layer transportnyadenganmengakses port 80 pada server. • Sumberdaya yang diaksesmelalui HTTP disebut Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI) denganmengaksessuatu Uniform Resource Locators (URL).

  8. Web Server • Komputer yang memilikitanggungjawabuntukmenerima HTTP request dari client, yang biasanyamenggunakan web browser danmelayanidalambentukhalaman web, dimanabiasanyaberupadokumen HTML danobjek link sepertigambardll. • Program komputer yang melayani HTTP.
