  4. Project Tasks • Water Demand Estimates • Met with representatives of SWFWMD and SJRWMD to coordinate demand projections methodologies • Worked with Districts to acquire all data necessary to complete projections • Completed summary of tables and graphs for TAC review • Completed draft of water demand chapter • Met with Technical Advisory Committee and received significant feedback on projections and are following up. WRWSA Water Supply Plan UpdateProgress Report – (April 1 – May 15)

  5. Project Tasks • Availability of Groundwater • Met with staff from the Districts to determine how they will use regional groundwater models during the next year to evaluate groundwater availability. • Determined that the Districts will provide Cardno with the regional model to determine impacts of proposed wellfieldson water resources and MFL waterbodies. • Districts are working to develop one model that will be used to determine impacts from groundwater withdrawals across entire WRWSA region. • Model should be ready by June/July WRWSA Water Supply Plan UpdateProgress Report – (April 15 – May 1)

  6. Project Tasks • Availability of Surface Water • Completed work on updating the availability of water that could be available from the Withlacoochee and Ocklawaha Rivers for water supply, based on the latest minimum flows work completed by the Districts. • Writing up the results for inclusion in the water supply plan. WRWSA Water Supply Plan UpdateProgress Report – (April 1 – May 15)

  7. Project Tasks • Conservation and Reclaimed Water Strategies • Evaluated Florida’s EZ Guide Water Conservation Model and determined which data would be required to run the model to evaluate conservation potential for each utility • Obtaining permission from utilities to run the model for their service areas and are starting to enter their data into the model. • Obtained comprehensive reclaimed water data from the SWFWMD to begin the process of projecting the quantity of reclaimed water that will be available to offset demand through 2035. • Are nearing completion of this task. WRWSA Water Supply Plan UpdateProgress Report – (April 1 – May 15)

  8. Project Tasks • Water Supply Project Options • Initiated work on updating the feasibility of a seawater desalination facility at the Crystal River Power Station • Met with Citrus County Utilities to discuss water supply options. WRWSA Water Supply Plan UpdateProgress Report – (April 1 – May 15)

  9. Project Tasks • Facilitation of Technical Advisory Committee • Constituted the membership of the TAC • Determined how the meetings will be structured, dates of meetings, and discussion topics. • Scheduled first meeting for April 24th. • Held first TAC Meeting in Ocala WRWSA Water Supply Plan UpdateProgress Report – (April 1 – May 15)
