  2. Graphics • Graphics are photographs, drawings, charts, maps and clip art. • Visual Literacy is the ability to read messages from graphics • You need to help your students become Visually literate. • They say; • “ A picture is worth ten thousand words”

  3. Graphics for teaching • Why use graphics? • Some research says that students learn 80% by sight and 20% by hearing • Younger students can’t read words yet. • Pictures and words reinforce each other fish

  4. Graphics for Primary teaching • Learn about your Audience • What level are the children’s skills in reading pictorial ideas?
