  2. Goal Statement • The provision of adequate infrastructure and personnel for the implementation of the use of laptops by Form One Students

  3. Mission and Vision • To develop students holistically for the 21st. century

  4. Accomplishments re. infrastructure • Upgrade of electrical supply • Increase outlets in classroom • Burglar proofing • Purchased storage cabinets

  5. Personnel • Training of Principal, Vice Principal and some HOD • Sensitization of staff • Sensitization of parents and students • Workshops for ICT Technicians

  6. Monitoring Progress • School laptop team monitors use of laptops by students • Curriculum officers and HOD’s monitor teachers • Monthly Returns to MOE • Review plan as required

  7. The Way Forward • Increase in band width for increased access to internet • Greater use of software applications • Increase in teaching and learning via ICT

  8. Challenges • Getting all teachers on board with ICT initiative • Preventing students from being interested only in possibility of using laptops for games • Ensuring that parents properly supervise the use of laptops by their children • Effective curriculum delivery by teachers using ICT !
