  2. Graduation Schedule • Friday 6:30PM – 8PM • Cocktail Reception for Students, Parents & Guests • Hors d’oeuvres • Open Bar • Jazz Band • Dress Code: Business casual or if you prefer, slightly more formal/dressy

Graduation Schedule Cont. • Saturday May 8th • 8:45 AM • Class Photo at Wallace Wade Stadium Section 16 • Make sure your guests are in Cameron by 9:00AM • 9-9:20: formal line-up and name card distribution • 9:20: procession toward Cameron, North Entrance • 9:35: procession inside Cameron. • 10:00 – 11:30 • Graduation Program (speakers, class gift, etc.). 11:45 AM – 2:00PM • Lunch at the Fox Center – lots of food so make late dinner reservations that day

  4. Graduation Schedule Cont. • Sunday May 9th – Wallace Wade Stadium • 9:30 am: procession starts at the East gate • 10 am: Duke-wide ceremony (Madeleine Albright = speaker) • 12 Noon – Reception at the Fox Center, pick up you diplomas, otherwise they will be mailed to you after 2 weeks.

  5. Graduation Parking • VIPs or people with disabilities: Whitford Lot. • All guests&graduates: • 751 • Green zone • Vistors lot on Science Drive • BMO/faculty lot • Overflow: Bryan Center. • There will be plenty of “Event Parking” signs.

  6. Duke Email • Net ID/ACPUB: How long will my email account be active after I graduate? • Your NetID (ACPUB/email) account will remain intact for one year after you graduate. You can use web mail to access this account. This account is managed by Duke OIT. You may call OIT at 684-2200 if you have any concerns about your email. • You will be able to maintain a Duke alumni email account indefinitely. Information about this account will be sent to you soon from an Alumni Affairs representative.

  7. Duke Email Cont. • Email Forwarding: How do I forward (reroute) incoming messages to another address? • Questions related to email are answered on the Duke University Office of Information Technology website. Visit http://webacct.acpub.duke.edu/online/ to manage email accounts.

  8. Fuqua Net Resources • Access to FuquaNet resources: How long will my FuquaNet account be active? • Your FuquaNet account gives you access to public PCs at Fuqua as well as the H:, G:, and I: drives. This account is active until August 1, 2004. • If you will still be in the local area and want to have access to your FuquaNet account past August 1,contact the Technical Support Center at tsc-help@fuqua.duke.edu for an extension. • Please be sure to begin removing data from your H: drives soon after graduation. • After graduation, alumni have access to Alumni Link, which is "FuquaWorld" for Alumni. • NetID and Duke E-mail can be kept 1 year after graduation.

  9. Building & Parking Access • Your Fuqua ID "swipe" card will remain active until July 31st 2004. • Parking access should last through July 31st as well. As an alumnus/alumna, you can get another DukeCard that will be good for a year and Scott Plueddemann can give you access to the building. • The card can be renewed every year.

  10. Library Resources • Students have access to library books and DVD’s for one year after graduation but you need to get a new borrowers card as your Fuqua ID expires August 1st. • While alumni do not have off-campus (remote) access to Fuqua databases after graduation, you are welcome to use the resources by visiting the library. • Anyone with research questions may contact Paula Robinson, Reference Librarian.   11. Insurance • How long am I covered by the Duke health insurance? Until 08/16/2004.

  12. Flex Card Account • What happens if I have some $$$ left on my card? According to the Duke Card Office, any balance remaining on a student's flex card will be returned to the Bursar's Office. In case you have no outstanding balance at the Bursar’s Office, a refund will be mailed to you.

  13. Lockers • Please remember to empty your lockers by 05/14/04. After this date, anything in lockers will be destroyed. • Lockers will be reassigned over the summer and we appreciate your cooperation.

  14. Bursar’s Account Most of you have a balance due at the bursar's office that will need to be paid off by 5/6/04 (or we hold diplomas and transcripts). Bursar's website with information on where to mail your payment if you would prefer that option. http://www.bursar.duke.edu/Payments/index.html Note: Please don't mail any checks after April 28th as they may not be processed in time.
