  2. Graduation Schedule • Friday Pre-dinner Social 6:30PM – 8PM • Location: Fox Student Center • Cocktail Reception for Students, Parents & Guests • Hors d’oeuvres • Open Bar • Dress Code: Business casual or if you prefer, slightly more formal/dressy.

  3. Graduation Schedule Cont. • Saturday May 14th • 8:45 AM • Class Photo at Wallace Wade Stadium Section 16 • Make sure your guests are in Cameron by 9:00AM • 9-9:20: formal line-up and name card distribution • 9:20: procession toward Cameron, North Entrance • 9:35: procession inside Cameron. • 10:00 – 11:30 • Graduation Program (speakers, class gift, etc.). • 11:45 AM – 1:30PM • Lunch at the Fox Center – lots of food so make late dinner reservations that day

  4. Graduation Schedule Cont. • Sunday May 15th – Wallace Wade Stadium • 9:30 am: procession starts at the East gate • 10 am: Duke-wide ceremony (2005 speaker: Rircardo Lagos, President of Chile) • 12 Noon – Reception at the Fox Center. Pick up your diploma at the Fox or at the Fuqua Registrar between May 16-27th. Otherwise they will be mailed to your address on record in June.

  5. International Guests Invitation Please read the information from the International Office webpage http://www.international.duke.edu/FAQ/Invite_family_member.html You will need to complete the top half of the form http://www.international.duke.edu/Forms/ConfirmationOfStatusForm.html Please stop by our office (East Wing, 3rd floor above Admissions) with the form completed so that Natalie D’Aubermont Thompson can complete the section for your department. Lastly, you will need to visit the International Office to complete the process.

  6. Graduation Parking • VIPs or people with disabilities: Whitford Lot. • All guests&graduates: • 751 • Green zone • Vistors lot on Science Drive • BMO/faculty lot • Overflow: Bryan Center. • There will be plenty of “Event Parking” signs.

  7. Email Accounts/Addresses • Duke NetID • Your NetID (email account) will remain active for one (1) year after you graduate. You can use Duke Web Mail to access this account. This account is managed by Duke OIT. You may call OIT at 684-2200 if you have any concerns about your email. • Fuqua LEA • You will keep your Fuqua Lifetime Email Alias (LEA) for life regardless of how often you change jobs or email providers. Since your LEA is just a forwarding address, please make sure to keep your LEA profile updated with a current work or personal email account.

  9. FuquaNet Resources • How long will my FuquaNet account be active? • Your FuquaNet account gives you access to public PCs at Fuqua as well as the H:, G:, and I: drives. This account will remain active until November 15, 2005. NOTE: If you need an extension because of special circumstances, contact the Technical Support Center (tsc-help@fuqua.duke.edu) • Please begin removing data from your H: drive soon after graduation

  10. FuquaNet Resources • Will I have access to FuquaNet web resources like FuquaWorld? • After graduation you will have access to • Alumni web space • Alumni intranet (counterpart of FuquaWorld for Alumni) which includes • Alumni Notes • Alumni Directory • Career Center resources

  11. Building & Parking Access • Your Fuqua ID "swipe" card will remain active until July 31st 2005. • Parking access should last through July 31st as well. As an alumnus/alumna, you can get another DukeCard that will be good for a year and Scott Plueddemann can give you access to the building. • The card can be renewed every year.

  12. Library Resources • Students have access to library books and DVD’s for one year after graduation but you need to get a new borrowers card as your Fuqua ID expires August 1st. • While alumni do not have off-campus (remote) access to Fuqua databases after graduation, you are welcome to use the resources by visiting the library. • Anyone with research questions may contact Paula Robinson, Reference Librarian.   13. Insurance • How long am I covered by the Duke health insurance? August 16, 2005. The Duke-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan, administered by Hill, Chesson and Woody, does not terminate until this date. Please click on either the Bursar's Office web site or Hill Chesson and Woody's web site for termination of coverage under "Plan Information." http://www.hillchesson.com/duke.htm http://www.bursar.duke.edu Note: May 15, 2005 is the expiration date of the Health Fee only. The health fee enables you to use services at the Student Health Center during the enrollment period as a full-time or part-time student at Duke. Once the academic year ends you would see a regular doctor rather than go to the Student Health Center.

  14. Flex Card Account • What happens if I have some $$$ left on my card? According to the Duke Card Office, any balance remaining on a student's flex card will be returned to the Bursar's Office. In case you have no outstanding balance at the Bursar’s Office, a refund will be mailed to you.

  15. Lockers • Please remember to empty your lockers by 05/18/05. After this date, anything in lockers will be destroyed. • Lockers will be reassigned over the summer and we appreciate your cooperation.

  16. Bursar’s Account Most of you have a balance due at the bursar's office that will need to be paid off by 5/13/05 (or we hold diplomas and transcripts). Bursar's website with information on where to mail your payment if you would prefer that option. http://www.bursar.duke.edu/Payments/index.html Note: Please don't mail any checks after May 2nd as they may not be processed in time.
