  11. Where should you go? • ask the municipal office ahead • ask friends in another town • find shelter in another town

  12. How should you secure your home? • unplug all eletrical devices • shut off gas and water mains • in case of windstorm fit boarding over windows • in case of flooding use sandbags and insulating boards • get ready to evacuate all animals • take dogs and cats with you

What should you pack? • first aid kit + essential medication and toiletries • basic foods ( canned food and a can opener) • at least 6 litres of drinking water per person • protective clothing, spare underware, rainwear, • sleeping bag or blankets • pocket knife, cutlery, matches, a torch • a battery powered radio+ extra batteries
