  3. Types of Paints and Their Differences Have a look at the brief information on different types of paint and select the one which will suit your preferences.

  4. High Gloss Paint:  High gloss paints are quite enduring, and in contrast, these paints are smoothest to clean as compared to other paints. High gloss paints are light reflecting plus ultra-shiny. This kind of paint is quite hard and best to use for doors, cabinets, trim, and those places where finger touch is more. No doubt, it is relatively shiny for interior walls, and it will make every bump on the wall prominent as well.

  5. Semi-Gloss Paint:  Semi-gloss paint is not similar to high-gloss paint because it has less shine. Such paints are the best to use for the interior walls where you think grease, drips, and moisture can cause a mess. It is also great for trim work. You can paint your kitchen, bathroom, and chair rails with this semi-gloss paint to make them clean and attractive.

  6. Satin Paint:  I am sure you have taken the feel of velvety touch after reading this word satin. Satin paints are perfect for high traffic areas, such as the lounge, kids room, and foyers. Satin paint is quite easy to clean. The biggest flaw of this paint is that it will require touch-ups after some time. The touch ups are fairly tricky if you do work on.

  7. Eggshell Paint:  The word describes the nature of this paint. It is not shiny, just a luster touch like the shell of a chicken’s egg. The main point to favor the statement of why this paint is beneficial for your walls is that it will cover all the imperfections on your walls. Imperfections like bumps and spaces which other paints may not be able to cover effectively and thoroughly. This paint is perfect for your dining rooms and living rooms.

  8. Flat or Matte Paint:  Matte or Flat paint is the best paint if you want to hide the imperfections on your walls. This paint will cover all the marks, bumps, and other points which other paints are unable to cover. It will make the surface flat, and it is not shiny at all. It won’t reflect light and the imperfection of the wall stay secret when you use it. Matte paint is a little bit cheaper than other paints. You can apply this paint in the kid’s room and adult bedrooms or anywhere you want.
