  1. WHAT IS TRAVEL SOCCER? Travel soccer is a more competitive soccer experience that allows players the ability to play at a higher level against teams from other towns and counties across Pennsylvania.

  2. WHAT IS TRAVEL SOCCER? Age Groups: Travel soccer normally starts at the U9 level (meaning your son or daughter must be 8 on July 31st) and goes up to U19 level in both male and female divisions.

  3. WHAT IS TRAVEL SOCCER? How long is the season? The season is normally an 8 week season starting the last weekend in March (weather permitting) and running to the 1st weekend in June for spring travel.

  4. WHAT IS TRAVEL SOCCER? Where are the games played? Depending on the league your child plays in, the games could be as far away as Waynesboro or Williamsport. Home games are not guaranteed however we do normally get an equal number of home and away games. Home games are played at Derry Field in Yeagertown.

  5. WHAT IS TRAVEL SOCCER? When are the games played? CPYSL - up to U14’s – Saturday - 15 + – Sunday afternoons NCP - All games on Sundays

  6. WHAT IS TRAVEL SOCCER? What are the commitments? The obvious one is TRAVEL. Do not be surprised if a 6am start is in your future for a Saturday game! Practice – will be set by coach but normally at least twice a week with a game each week. Tournaments – will be set by coach as/if needed or desired Additionally, participation in the travel program should be treated seriously. Excuses for being absent from training or a game will be limited to religious functions or school functions.

  7. WHAT IS TRAVEL SOCCER? What is the cost? $90 per kid plus the cost of a uniform if needed. The $90 fee covers referee fees, registration fees and the upkeep of Derry Field.

  8. WHAT IS TRAVEL SOCCER? How can I get my kid involved? Keep an eye on our website for important dates and forms. We will be having open enrollment for the soccer program on January 11, 2013 at the Quality Inn in Burnham.
