  1. SOLAR MANUFACTUING & TECHNOLOGY RYAN STOUT, FOUNDER & CEO

  2. COMPANY OVERVIEW Nusun Solar: Incorporated in 2010 • Manufacturing arm for AWEG • Family history/Over 40 years experience in energy storage • Developed distribution, installation, and education Established suppliers & sales partners Associations/Affiliations • Indiana Renewable Energy Association (INREA): Member • Indiana Distributed Energy Advocates (IDEA): Founding Member/ Board • American Solar Energy Society: Member

  3. SOLAR MANUFACTURING Build and Assemble “Made in USA” Next Generation Panels Headquartered in Columbus, IN Nano coated crystalline silicon photovoltaic panels (Solar PV) Starting production=25MW Clean manufacturing environment

  4. Economic Development Value • Distributed generation plant specifics per 25MW line • 80 plus full time employees • High average pay wage with benefits • Initial capital investment of $4,500,000 • Yearly revenue capability $45,000,000 • Expandable in 25MW increments with $500,000 minimum investment • Diversified portfolio • Full line manufacturing • PLM growth strategies • New product testing • R&D partnerships • Renewable energy advocate • Renewable expansion within state and community • State incentives

  5. SOLAR TECHNOLOGY ONYX Solar PV technology High efficiency and optimal voltage No moving parts Utilize 125mm & 156mm monocrystalline cells • Higher development costs • Multi cell design capabilities • Nano-coating light filtering technology • Optimum Voc and Vmp = multiple inverter compatibility

  6. EFFICIENCY & POWER • Highest voltage in the market • Built with top-of-the-class cells and wafers • Composed strictly of ‘A’ grade cells with minimum 9N purity • Maximizes individual panel’s performances • Minimizes interdependency among the panels • Produced with positive tolerances • Maintains stable input voltage to inverters in extreme temperatures (hot and cold) • Relatively smaller in size than its competing solar modules • Produces 13.55Watt/ ft2 making it the • Most efficient solar panel in its class!

  9. SOLAR PV PANEL TYPES: MONOCRYSTALLINE • ADVANTAGES: • Original PV technology invented in 1955 • Grown from single crystal so all cells uniform in color, • circular shape and dark blue • Most efficient, most power per square foot of module • Long life, 25 year warranties and beyond 40+ year life • Usually have highest open circuit voltage (OCV) • Premium technology for all customers • DISADVANTAGES: • Checkered pattern face • Frame • Cost of purified silicone, semiconductor grade

  10. SOLAR PV PANEL TYPES: POLYCRYSTALLINE • ADVANTAGES: • Entered the market in 1981 • Silicon melted and poured into a mold forming a square • block which equals less waist • As the silicon cools in mold, crystals form in an imperfect • manner causing variations of blue • Just behind single on efficiency so it takes a slightly larger • surface area • Long life, 25 year warranty and 40 year life • Usually have lower (OCV) than mono and better suited for • battery backup systems • DISADVANTAGES: • Frame • Weight • Cost of purified silicone

  11. SOLAR PV PANEL TYPES: THIN FILM • ADVANTAGES: • Newest of the three technologies • Microscopically thin deposit of silicon or cadmium telluride • Least expensive of technologies • Some panels are flexible • Pickup larger spectrum of the sun • Best used for battery maintainers for smaller applications in • consumer market • DISADVANTAGES: • Least efficient, up to 50% larger modules needed to • match single or poly • Watch quality, thin film materials tend to be less stable • than crystalline causing degradation over time • Most panels have 5 year life expectancy some claim to • have 20 year but very questionable • Uncertain durability over life of panel

  12. 30% Federal Tax Credit/Grant Carbon credits Feed-in Tariff Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) - $0.20 - $0.32 per kWh Power Purchase Agreements 100% Depreciation of Asset in 1st Year Net Metering Hedge Against Increasing Utility Bills Electric rates have increased 465% in the past 40 years and appears to be on an accelerating course RENEWABLE ENERGY POLICY
