New Orders • If all orders are addressed, they no longer appear in the orders window • The Clipboard will disappear from the PAL • The Clipboard remains on the PAL, if all the orders were not reviewed. • The Clipboard will remain until the end of the time frame displayed Nurse Review-CPOE 2010

Nurse Review Defined • Nurse Review is the process by which • the nurse acknowledges that new orders • have been entered electronically on the • patient. • It is the responsibility of the nurse who is assigned to the patient to complete Nurse Review. Nurse Review Icon
New Orders Icon • When Nurse Review has been completed, other nurses in the same position with an established relationship with the patient will receive the new orders icon on their PAL. • If the New Orders icon appears on a patient assigned to you, these should be acknowledged. New Orders Icon
Attention! • Licensed nurses & pharmacist do not generate an eyeglasses icon. A New Orders icon appears • CPOE providers, Unit Secretaries, Ancillary departments & certain nursing positions generate Nurse Review Icons
