  2. Robotic Arm Scientists have had a string of remarkable successes lately, taking signals from the brains of monkeys and men, and using them to move mechanical arms.

  3. Robotic Arm The robotic arm consist of many sensors such as the sound and light sensor. It is made to do basic things like drinking or eating.

  4. Robotic Arm The processor (NXT) is on a clip-on belt so you can take it anywhere, also its water proof. You can take a shower or wash your hand without taking it off.

  5. Advantages Some advantages about the touch sensor is… • When the sensor is pressed the device would automatically grab or release. • If the sensor is pressed 2 times in a row the robotic arm would do a handshake

  6. Disadvantages Some disadvantages about the touch sensor is… • If the touch sensor is not pressed fully it would not grab or release • People would not want to press it twice just to give you a handshake

  7. Advantages Some advantages about the sound sensor is… • If someone doesn’t want to press the touch sensor they can just say hello to give them a handshake • People would rather use the sound sensor

  8. Disadvantages Some disadvantages about the sound sensor is… • If it is too noisy you would have to use the touch sensor or change the program. • If the person says hello you must respond in order for the handshake to work

  9. Advantages Some advantages about the product is… • The machine would be a great hand. • It has the same qualities as a real hand. • The processor(NXT) is programmable.

  10. Disadvantages Some disadvantages about the product is… • It can hurt someone's hand if shaken • The product has different programs for different situations
