  1. Announcement! Tuesday Feb 19th Room 900 2:30 Ravi Prakash- works for NASA He was in charge of the Curiosity Mars Rover landing!! Everyone: create 5 questions for him Extra Credit to all who attend 

  2. What’s Out There? Students will be able to evaluate the possibility of existence on other planets.

  3. Are there other intelligent life forms out there? Drake Equation What does this mean?! Tells you the likelihood of there being other intelligent life in the universe

  4. What are your thoughts? • Make your estimates on the 8 parameters. • Convert percentages to decimal ex. 75%= 0.75 • Multiply them together! What do your results mean?!

  7. To Summarize…TWANE 1. Temperature-> “Goldilock Zone” 2. Water 3. Atmosphere greenhouse effect (Mercury vs. Venus) 4. Nutrients What make up the cell 5. Energy Oxygen and food for cellular respiration

  8. Habitability Cards What makes a world habitable? Knowing what you do about TWANE, evaluate each of the habitability cards to determine if the planet or moon can support life.
