  4. Duel Credit Students Students at Jenkins Independent are going to University of Pikeville to take college classes. This year we have twelve students participating in this program.   10. Pep Rally! On August 23, we had a pep rally for the football boys, before their big game against Allen Central.

  11. Jenkins Cavalier Football August 18, Phelps Away 43-6 (W) August 24, Allen Central Home 38-16 (W) August 31, South Floyd Away 36-50 (L) The month of August, the Jenkins Cavaliers went 2-1! The football boys got the Cavalier fans very excited about this season. Coach Eric Ratliff has really helped these boys improve.

  18. Off Days! On August 24, Jenkins Middle High School was off for the school day for Jenkins days.

  19. Teacher of the month. Name: Nick Fields Age: 24 Received his bachelors degree at Alice Lloyd. Best subject in high school? Science Worst subject in high school? English Favorite subject to teach? Anatomy Inspiration: His father If he won the lottery: He would pay off his bills, and move to Florida. If he has super powers he would want to be able to fly.

  20. Attendance for August. For August the 8th grade had the best attendance, with 95.59%. The overall attendance of Jenkins Middle High campus was 93.42%.
