Monday 6.10.2013 Week 39Use week 38 Bell Ringer sheet  Flip over and label • Agenda • Bell Ringer (5min) • Frog Lab sheets (5min) • Frog & Tadpole adaptations (30min) • EXTRA CREDIT  DUE TODAY !!!!!!!!! • Bell Ringer: Describe 2 adaptations frogs made to be able to survive on land. (Remember, a frog starts it’s life in water! 2 sentences for credit THEN….Take out ALL frog worksheets (3 total!) Due today! Turn in Fish & Amphibian worksheet (stapled sheets) Keep Frog structure wksht

  3. Announcements….TURN IT IN! Diagram on pg. 805 • Turn in Fish & Amphibians worksheet! • Worksheet that was stapled together • KEEP the Frog structure worksheet! • Any extra credit? Turn in the TURN IT IN bin! • Remember…if you don’t complete the pre-work, you WILL NOT dissect the frogs tomorrow!

Use text book for sources Mini Lab 30.2 Book pg. 805 Answer first 5 questions with a YES or NO Tympanic membrane? – covers the inside of their ears; allows frogs to hear mating calls. YES or NO Nature of skin– See through? Green? Slimy? *Compare #4 & #9 General Size– Large? Small? Respiratory organ type– What do they use to breath?? Diet– what do they eat? ….look at pg. 805 Habitat– where do the live? Water? Land?

  5. Mini Lab Independent Practice • Complete Analysis Questions #1-6 for Mini Lab 30.2! • MUST be done to complete lab tomorrow! • # 2-4 Correlate relate • Go to library to use textbook! (pg. 805 and entire section) if you do not finish in class. If done  • You may work on… 1. Structure of Frog or 2. Chap. 30 Fish and Amphibians worksheet *USE BOOK!

Tuesday 6.11.2013 Week 39 • Agenda • Bell Ringer (5min) • Frog Lab sheets (5min) • Frog Dissection (40min) • IF you did NOT do the pre-work “Fish & Amphibians” you WILL NOT be doing the lab! • Bell Ringer: Complete the DO-NOW on your lab handout. ***Staple the “ Frog & Tadpole adaptations” MiniLab + “Structure of a Frog” worksheet to the BACK of your lab handout for today. ***(will be 3 sheets total; lab on top)

Give 1 example. (MUST have an example of 1 animal who is an ectotherm and the definition for credit!) • Pick up Chapt. 30 review assessment from bin! • Grab a textbook

Structure of a Frog worksheet (30pts) • Exam will cover Chapt 29.1-- Starfish; Chapt 30– Fish & Amphabians and basic scientific method and simple experiments! • Make sure you are working hard to finish the review DUE TOMORROW!
