  3. I. I Am a Debtor Rom. 1:14 “I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.” Educated Uneducated Philosophers Ordinary Gospel is for All

  4. Why ? • Not anything they had done • What God had done • Christ died for him • Wanted to show his gratitude “Woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel.” 1 Cor. 9:16

  5. We are all debtors ! • To all the world • What God has done for us • Christ died for me • I have been saved to save others “Go ye therefore and teach all people in the CSRA area of the world.”

  6. I. I Am a Debtor Rom. 1:14 “I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.”

  7. II. I Am Ready to Preach Rom. 1:15 “So, as much as is in me lies, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are at Rome also..” In payment of his debt Acts 19:21 Acts 23:11

  9. Be Ready to preach / Teach “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” 1 Pet. 3:15

  10. ready “Preach the word; be instant in season, out season.” 2 Tim.4:2 We cannot wait until the world is ready!

  11. II. I Am Ready to Preach Rom. 1:15 “So, as much as is in me lies, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are at Rome also..”

  12. III. I Am Not Ashamed Rom. 1:16“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” “For I have no feeling of shame about the good news” B.B.E.

  13. Paul suffered much for the Gospel • II Corinthians 11:23-27 • Cast out of nation • Imprisoned, chased out • Stoned, mocked • Mobbed 2 Tim. 1:12

  14. Why Paul was not Ashamed • God is source of Gospel • Christ is subject of Gospel • Holy Spirit is revealer of Gospel • Highest Way of Life • Heaven is final Goal

  15. We should not be ashamed of Gospel • We are a Christian • Pray – read – discuss • Faithful in daily life • Attendance

  16. “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:38 NKJV
