  2. Number of Young Adults Sexually Active • 17 surveyed all of peers • 20 surveyed most of their peers • 2 said some of their peers • 0 said none of their peers

  3. Peers Negatively effected by Sex • 10 surveyed zero • About 23 said one to three • About 7 said four to six • And a few said 10

  4. Is it acceptable to have unprotected sex? • 14 said yes it is, for different reasons • About 22 said that it is not okay • About 5 said both unacceptable and acceptable, depending on circumstances

  5. Why do people have unprotected sex? • There was a mixture of answers, some were combined, and some were solo. • Better feeling • Caught in the moment • Alcohol involvement • “Invincible Syndrome” • Relationship • Other

  6. Would you be willing to engage in Unprotected sex? • 26 say that they would • 9 said that they would not • 4 said that it would depend on circumstances

  7. When asked the number of sexual partners….. • 2 surveyed zero • 6 said between one and three • 13 said between four and six • 9 said between seven and ten • 6 said between ten and fourteen • 3 said either “too many” or “unsure”

  8. As far as always using proper protection….. • About 28 said no • 8 said yes • The other 3 said it did not apply to them

  9. If you had an STD, would you tell your partner prior to sex? • 28 claimed that they would tell their partner • 8 said that they would not • 3 did not answer the question

  10. Methods of safe sex used most often….. • There was a combination of methods used • Pull out • Birth control pills • Condoms • Abstinence • None • Morning after pill

  11. Have you gotten an STD that your partner did not tell you they had?? • 3 said yes • 36 said no • However, the researcher does not understand how they now…because of the following question…

  12. Have you been tested for STD’s? • 22 said yes • 17 said no • If that many people have not been tested, how would they know if they contracted an STD???

  13. Ever Experienced Unplanned Pregnancy? • 6 said yes • 33 said no

  14. Male Vs. Females • 25 of the subjects were males • 14 were females

  15. Conclusion • The public needs to be more aware of the consequences from unprotected sex. • It appears that sex has become a frivolous act, that not much attention is paid to.
