  4. Death Insurance or Life Insurance for Life? TERMINAL ILLNESS Living Benefits + = One Solution Most life policies should be called “death” insurance. With the policies we offer clients through WRL, we can help protect families through life’s unpredictable changes – we call it Life Insurance for Life! DEATH BENEFIT CHRONIC ILLNESS CRITICAL ILLNESS For Training Purposes Only- Agent Use only

  5. Long Term Care is a top concern among adults…. Yet only 5-6% own a long-term care insurance policy. That’s because: 1. Traditional LTC policies are very expensive 2. Difficult to underwrite 3. Subject to rate increases For those who have a long-term care policy, many fear they are “not getting their money’s worth – paying premiums over a lifetime and dying before they ever use them. Through living benefits you can help offer your clients more than LTC insurance; you can offer them life insurance for life. VS. For Training Purposes Only- Agent Use only

  6. What Can Happen to Us? CHRONIC ILLNESS We may become Chronically Ill Chronic Illness affects many people and can create additional expenses for a family. 8. Why Living Benefits make sense as an Alternative to LTC? Little to no morbidity underwriting If you don’t use it before you die, a death benefit will be paid to the beneficiary More consumers can afford the hybrid approach rather than individual policies Not a reimbursement of expenses like traditional LTC You get to use the money however you want For Training Purposes Only- Agent Use only

  14. Impact of Caregiving on Caregivers’ Physical Health While researchers have long known that caregiving can have deleterious mental health effects for caregivers, research shows that caregiving can have serious physical health consequences as well. Studies have found that caregivers may have increased blood pressure and insulin levels,1  may have impaired immune systems2 and may be at increased risk for cardiovascular disease3 among other adverse health outcomes. A study of elderly spousal caregivers (aged 66-96) found that caregivers who experience caregiving-related stress have a 63% higher mortality rate than non-caregivers of the same age.4, 5 1.Cannuscio, C.C., J.
